This three-centre holiday offers a real contrast of experiences: from the hectic and intoxicating city of Marrakech to the rural charm and mountain scenery of the High Atlas, and laid-back charm of Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast.
Accommodation is in three charming properties, each with a wonderful location, character and style. Private transfers take you between locations. This is one of our most popular holidays and can easily be extended to 10 days or longer if more time is preferred in any destination.
ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrive Marrakech
Tour starts in Marrakech with an evening visit to the highly animated Djemaa el Fna square, scene of acrobats, musicians and storytellers.
Days 2 & 3 – Discover Marrakech
A guided walking tour of Marrakech medina reveals Djemaa el Fna, Koutoubia, the historic Ben Youssef area and souks. Afterwards there’s plenty of time for independent sightseeing, or an optional caleche ride, cooking course or spa.

Day 4 – Transfer to Atlas Mountains
Today we transfer to Kasbah Africa to stay in the tranquil Azzaden Valley, facing Takerkhort Nature Reserve, in the heart of the High Atlas mountains.
Day 5 – Walk, mule trek or relax in the High Atlas
Choose an optional guided walk or a mule trek to a nearby Berber village for views of North Africa’s highest peak, Jebel Toubkal.

Day 6 - Transfer to Essaouira
In the morning we travel across the Atlas Mountains to reach Morocco's Atlantic Coast and the laid-back town of Essaouira (ancient Mogador) in time for lunch.

Day 7 – Day in Essaouira
Day at leisure to explore Essaouira with its picturesque harbour, blue fishing boats, ramparts, medina, souks and beach.

Day 8 – Tour ends in Marrakech
Transfer directly back to Marrakech where tour ends.
