Experience the very best of southern Morocco on this private tour. From the Red City of Marrakech to the golden sands of the Sahara you’ll journey through a mosaic of awe-inspiring landscapes.
In Morocco’s Deep South the high peaks of the Atlas give way to a vast desert plateau of palm-filled valleys, fortified villages and earth-built Kasbahs – a vast natural arena for adventure-seekers. You'll also see the waterfalls at Immouzer, the historic medina of Essaouira and High Atlas mountains.
ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrive Marrakech
Tour starts in Marrakech with an evening visit to the highly animated Djemaa el Fna square, scene of acrobats, musicians and storytellers.
Day 2 – Discover Marrakech
A guided walking tour of Marrakech medina reveals Djemaa el Fna, Koutoubia, the historic Ben Youssef area and souks. Afterwards there’s time for independent sightseeing, or an optional caleche ride, cooking course or spa.

Day 3 – Atlas to Ait Benhaddou
A winding route ascends the High Atlas as we journey to Telouet Kasbah and the World Heritage Ksar of Ait Benhaddou.
Day 4 – Along The Draa Valley
At Ouarzazate we see Taourirt Kasbah. Next we cross the volcanic Jebel Saghro and traverse the beautiful Draa Valley to sleep at Ouled Driss.

Day 5 – Sahara by 4x4 to Chegaga
Following sand tracks we enjoy a real Saharan adventure on a desert drive to Morocco’s greatest expanse of dunes at Chegaga.
Day 6 – To Tata Oasis via Foum Zguid
A chance encounter with a camel caravan is possible as we cross the dry Iriki ancient lake on our journey west to Foum Zguid and Tata.
Day 7 – Across the Anti-Atlas to Taroudant
Today we see ever-changing landscapes on a crossing of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Arriving at Taroudant we explore the walled medina.
Day 8 – To Essaouira via Immouzer
A scenic route leads to Immouzer, a perfect spot for lunch by the waterfalls. Next we head north along the Atlantic to Essaouira.
Day 9 – Exploring Essaouira
Explore Essaouira (ancient Mogador) with its picturesque harbour, blue fishing boats, ramparts, medina, souks and beach.

Day 10 – Transfer to Atlas Mountains
Today we transfer to Kasbah Africa to stay in the tranquil Azzaden Valley, facing Takerkhort Nature Reserve, in the heart of the High Atlas mountains.
Day 11 – Walk, mule trek or relax in the High Atlas
Choose an optional guided walk or a mule trek to a nearby Berber village for views of North Africa’s highest peak, Jebel Toubkal.
Day 12 – Tour ends in Marrakech
Transfer to Marrakech where tour ends.
