Oscar nominated film to put Morocco on movie-making map
What do the films, Star Wars, Gladiator and Sex in the City 2 all have in common? Parts of them were filmed in Morocco. Hollywood has been cashing in on Morocco's dramatic backdrops for years, but the country's film industry is struggling to survive. This week, it is the Marrakech film festival and it is hoped that an Oscar nominated film could finally put Morocco on the map - improving its fortunes both at home and abroad.
